Dog Photography Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I or my children be in some of the photos?
Absolutely.
What should I bring to the photo session?
As you’d expect we have plenty of treats and toys in the studio, but we always recommend you bring a few of their own favourite treats along, it’s also helpful if you bring something along that smells of them, a favourite toy or comfort blanket usually works best especially if they are a puppy or still a young dog.
How long does the dog photography session last?
We allow 2 hours for each photography session with an extra hour in between appointments. When you first arrive, we like to make you a fresh cup of tea or coffee and whilst we have our drink and eat biscuits, your dog has the time to have a wander around the studio and get used to the studio environment
Does my dog need to be trained?
As long as the owner is trained, we do not worry about how well your dog is trained. Our experience allows us to get the best picture.
What if my dog must remain on a lead?
Absolutely no problem whatsoever, we have the tools to remove the leash during the editing process.
Is there anything I should do prior to coming to the studio?
If you can take your dog for a good run before the photo session then a more tired dog will be more relaxed and if you can take them to the dog parlour for a wash and trim then it will really help to have them looking really good.
What forms of payment do you take?
We take cash, credit card, Paypal, BACS,
I never get a good photo of my dog so how can anyone else?
Many clients come to me with a phone full of images that were slightly blurred, or that the camera took just *after* the dog did its signature cute thing. When you work with a professional who understands dogs, you’re not taking a chance that the camera will just get lucky. With our expertise in lighting and camera setup, it ensures you’ll get the images you dream of.
When will I be able to see my photos and receive my products??
You get to pick your fav picture on the day. We will then edit the picture, send to you for approval. When you approve we then order your wall art. All our wall products are handmade and will be delivered to your door approximately 3-4 weeks after we place your order. We can speed this up for a nominal fee if you have a special deadline.
Do you have insurance?
We have both professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance and are happy to show our insurance certificates should you want to see them.
What type of equipment do you use
We have four Sony cameras, two of every lens, nine flashes, and in every camera, we store your pictures on two memory cards, so should we drop a camera or have a memory card fail, you can be confident that we will not lose any pictures.
I’d like to find something for my dog to wear, any suggestions??
If you would like to add an accessory, our philosophy is that a small accent goes a long way. I often recommend bow-ties, bandanas, pearls, and fabric flower accents to my clients.
What if I have to cancel?
We understand that things come up unexpectedly. While the session fee is non-refundable, if you contact me 24 hours before your scheduled session we are happy to apply it towards a future session.” i
Can I post the pictures on Facebook or Instagram?

I have more than 2 pets, can you photograph all of them?
